Shooter Games on iOS in France: Q1 2021 Trends

The first quarter of 2021 has been an interesting period for shooter games on the iOS platform in France. Here is a look at how five popular titles fared, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

Call of Duty®: Mobile saw its revenue fluctuate, peaking at $110K in late January and mid-March. Downloads trended downwards from 34K to 16K, while weekly active users dropped from 447K to 368K over the quarter.

Sniper 3D: Gun Shooting Games experienced a revenue decrease from $16K to around $10K. Downloads saw an initial decline from 17K to 8K, before a slight rebound to 10K by the end of March. The weekly active users showed a downward trend from 71K to 48K.

PUBG MOBILE had a more volatile revenue pattern, with a significant peak of $198K in mid-January, before settling to around $110K by the end of March. Its downloads dipped from 14K to 7K, and the game's weekly active users decreased from 179K to 152K.

Free Fire: The Chaos showed a steady revenue, mostly ranging from $20K to $32K. Downloads varied, with a high of 6K at the beginning of the quarter and ending at 3.6K. Notably, the game’s weekly active users increased from 255K to 312K in early March before a slight dip to 312K.

Zooba: Zoo Battle Royale Games saw revenue starting at $12K and experiencing ups and downs, finishing the quarter at around $7K. Downloads decreased from 4.4K to 2.6K. Weekly active users for Zooba were relatively stable, hovering around the mid-40K mark.
